Track work, set reminders, and keep notes linked to properties, tenants, projects, and vendors.
Tasks track things that need doing; Notes capture things worth remembering. Both can be linked to any record in Zeno — a property, tenant, project, unit, or vendor — so they show up where the work happens.
The Tasks page has four view modes, persisted per user:
List — filterable table view with grouping and sorting
Weekly — a seven-day agenda
Monthly — month view
Board — Kanban columns by status
Switch the owner filter between Mine, All, and Unassigned. Preset tabs above the list: My Open, Overdue, This Week, All. Group by Status, Priority, Entity Type, Property, or Assignee. Sort by any column in list view.
New Task opens the form. Required: title. Everything else is optional.
Description — supports @mentions of teammates
Priority — Low, Medium, High, Urgent
Start date / Due date
Assignee
Linked entity — link to a property, project, contractor job, or practice engagement (or several)
Recurring — Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly, with an interval and weekday/day-of-month picker
Attachments — drop files onto the form
Link tasks to entities. “Re-key lockbox” linked to Parkview Court Apartments shows up on that property’s page — the maintenance tech doesn’t need to hunt for it.
Edit any field inline. The activity feed at the bottom shows comments and audit events. Change status to close the task; recurring tasks spawn the next occurrence automatically.
Notes live at Tasks → Notes. A Note has a title, body, and optional linked entities. Useful for things that aren’t work items: meeting summaries, tenant conversations, a bit of institutional memory.Notes can be referenced from tasks (the task’s Linked notes field), and they appear on the detail page of any entity they’re attached to.
Task Templates are reusable checklists for recurring workflows. Build a template once, then apply it to create a set of tasks with relative due dates and priorities already set.
