Drafting an issue
Ask for the issue in plain words. For example:- “Draft this month’s newsletter: the spring fair on May 10, the new office hours, and a thank-you to our volunteers.”
- “Start from the monthly update template and fill it in for June.”
- “Turn the attached flyer into this week’s issue.” See Images & documents.
Personalizing
Text, headings, and buttons can greet each recipient by name. Ask your AI to use a recipient’s first name, last name, full name, or email, or any of your custom fields. A recipient with no first name on file is greeted as “Friend”, and a custom field they don’t have reads as nothing. What an email is made of
An issue is an ordered list of blocks:- Header — your logo, name, and subtitle at the top
- Heading and Text
- Image — a photo, logo, or artwork from your image library, with alt text and an optional caption
- Button — a link, in a primary, secondary, or outline style
- Event list — events with date, time, and place
- Divider, Spacer, and Shape — lines, space, and decorative rectangles, circles, and pills
- Section — one to three columns of their own blocks
- Layout — one per email, setting the email width, page colors, corners, header visibility, and footer styling
Reviewing the design
Open a campaign from All campaigns and click Preview & Design. The finished email shows beside the blocks that make it up, and you can switch between Desktop and Mobile. The page refreshes on its own after your AI makes a change. The panel beside the preview has these tabs:- Structure — the ordered blocks and shapes. Select one to highlight it in the preview and see its styling.
- Assets — the logo and images used, with links to their blocks
- Brand — the colors and fonts the preview uses
- Page — the email width, canvas, and footer settings
- Checks — whether the issue is ready to send. See Sending and approval.
