Zeno is organized like an ERP workspace, not a set of disconnected apps. Your team picks the operational modules it needs, but every organization gets the same shared workspace and the same Books underneath everything.

How to think about the product

There are three layers:
  1. Shared workspace — Contacts, Document Center, and Emails are always on. Tasks, Inbox, and Chat can be turned off per organization. These cut across every module.
  2. Operational modules — Rental, Development, Contractor, Practice, Glass, Expenses, Budgeting, Campaigns. Each one can be turned on or off per organization.
  3. Books — always on. Every financial action from every module posts here. Reports reads from it.
If you’re new to the app, identify which operational module owns your day-to-day work. Then use the shared tools around it. Books runs in the background as you go.

Operational modules

These can be enabled or disabled per organization in Admin.

Books — always on

Books is the accounting backbone. Every organization has it, and you can’t turn it off. Posted invoices, bills, and payments from every operational module land in Books, and Reports reads from it. You don’t need to work directly in Books to use the app — it runs in the background as you work in the operational modules.

Shared workspace

Surfaces that work across every module. Contacts, Document Center, and Emails are always on. Tasks, Inbox, and Chat are also organization-wide but can be turned off in Admin if your team doesn’t use them.
  • Inbox — intake for checks, leases, bills, receipts, contracts, and other documents.
  • Contacts — shared directory of tenants, buyers, customers, vendors, and other people.
  • Document Center — filed documents across the entire organization.
  • Tasks — assign, follow up, and track work.
  • Chat and Emails — communication tied to the work.
