Tasks, notes, and a weekly planner

Weekly planner, calendar, and board views; recurring tasks and templates; rich-text notes linked to tasks; @user and #entity mentions throughout.

Product updatePlatform

Property management runs on follow-up: chase the late check, send the lease renewal, schedule the inspection, call the contractor back. We’ve spent the last few weeks building a planning layer that fits the shape of that work.

List, planner, calendar, board

The same tasks render four ways:

  • List with preset tabs (My Tasks, Overdue, This Week), grouping by property, owner, or due date, and inline status edits
  • Weekly Planner for laying out the week
  • Calendar with click-to-create, showing recurring tasks on every date they’re due
  • Board for kanban-style flows

Filters and sorts are settings-driven, so each view remembers what you set on it.

Recurring tasks and templates

Set up a quarterly inspection or a monthly rent reminder once and it generates itself going forward. Templates spin up a standard punch-list for a new lease, a new project, or a new vendor onboarding without retyping it.

Notes alongside tasks

Tasks are for what you have to do. Notes are for what you have to remember. Notes use a rich-text editor (BlockNote), so they hold headings, lists, checklists, and attachments, and they link bidirectionally to tasks. A walkthrough note can spawn three tasks, and each task knows which note it came from.

Mentions and references

Type @ to mention a teammate and they get notified. Type # to reference a property, tenant, vendor, project, or document, and the mention becomes a clickable link. References work in task descriptions, comments, and notes, so the context travels with the work.

Also in this release

  • Document and file attachments on tasks
  • Property scoping with multi-property links
  • Reminders with date-only delivery, so no 3 AM pings
  • All times shown in Eastern, since that’s where our users are
  • Auto-save on notes

Tasks and Notes are included in every Zeno plan. The weekly planner is the view most people end up living in, so start there.
