Construction Sales updates: January 2026
Check images on payments, milestone-linked payment schedules, a bounced-check workflow, one form for the buyer, and vendors shared across every project.
Selling units in a development project means tracking a payment schedule that moves with the build, a stack of contracts and promissory notes for every buyer, and the occasional check that bounces. This month’s Construction Sales work is aimed at all three.
Payments
Check images on the payment
Drag and drop check images directly onto a payment. Files save to the buyer’s documents folder automatically, so the check and the payment record stay together.
Payment schedules edited in place
Add, edit, and delete payment schedule items from the buyer page. Click a schedule item to change it without navigating to a separate screen.
Milestones that make payments due
Payment schedule items can be linked to construction milestones. Mark a milestone complete and its linked payments become due, so the payment request goes out when the work it bills for is finished.
Bounced checks and their replacements
Mark a payment bounced and create its replacement. Both records stay in the audit trail, so the original check and the check that replaced it are visible on the buyer’s history.
The buyer page
One form for the buyer
Contact info, unit designation, contract date, amounts, and document uploads are on a single form.
Amount Due and Sale Price are separate fields
Sale Price is the contract amount. Amount Due is what the buyer owes. Splitting them lets an amendment or an additional charge move one without rewriting the other.
Unit designations on the cards
Buyer cards display the unit designation prominently, so scanning the project tells you which units are sold and to whom.
Attachments with notes
Upload contracts, promissory notes, and other documents by drag and drop. Each attachment takes an optional note.
Vendors and audit
Vendors are organization-wide
Payment destinations are shared across every project in your organization. Set a vendor up once and use it everywhere, rather than re-entering it per project.
A Vendors link in the navigation
Vendor management has its own link in the construction navigation bar.
Audit logging on all 27 sales operations
Every create, update, and delete in the sales module is logged.
